After arriving in Ulaanbaatar, have dinner and then go to the hotel to rest. Ulaanbaatar is the capital of Mongolia, with an altitude of 1,350 meters. The Tula River Valley extends from east to west. The capital has a population of 1.38 million/2016/ and covers an area of 4,707 square kilometers.
After breakfast, go to the Mongolian Tribe Performance Resort. Here you can enjoy the infinite beauty of Mongolian land, appreciate the green and endless grassland scenery, participate in the nomadic lifestyle and customs of the Mongolians, and you can also wear Mongolian costumes to take pictures, learn Mongolian archery, watch the raising of newborn lambs, herders collecting milk for milking sheep, making wool felt, herders wrestling, archery, equestrian performances, show masculinity, horse-head fiddle playing and singing performances, demonstrate the landscape of the yurt relocation team, and vividly show the nomadic life and customs of the Mongolians.
After lunch, we will go to Husitai Wild Horse Park. Husitai National Park was built in 1993 and is located about 120 kilometers west of Ulaanbaatar, covering an area of more than 50,000 hectares. Husitai National Park is a nature reserve for the conservation of Mongolian wild horses under natural conditions. There are a group of Mongolian wild horses, a precious wild animal native to the Mongolian grassland. There are currently more than 250 wild horses here, and it has become one of the important bases for the study of Mongolian wild horses in the world. Here we will visit the Mongolian Wild Horse Museum and the ecology and habits of Mongolian wild horses.
After dinner, we will return to Ulaanbaatar Hotel for rest.
After breakfast, we will go to the 13th Century National Park. This area is 96 kilometers from Ulaanbaatar and is located in Erdene County, Central Province. Here, the powerful battle history model and ordinary lifestyle of the Mongolian Empire in the 13th century are simulated. In the park, you can understand the customs of Mongolian national life and watch a variety of interesting activities.
After lunch, we will visit the Genghis Khan statue. The statue of Genghis Khan is located in the territory of Central Province of Mongolia, 60 kilometers from Ulaanbaatar. In the middle of the camp, Genghis Khan holds a golden whip in his hand and points eastwards towards his birthplace. The statue is constructed of a 30-meter-high headquarters made of 250 tons of steel sheets, a 10-meter-high, 36-meter-diameter foundation, and a yurt-style, 50-meter-diameter, 12-meter-high circular two-story building on the statue's tail. An elevator is built at the horse's tail. Visitors can take the elevator to the sightseeing platform on top of the horse's head and look out over the endless prairie. After that, go to Terelj National Park to arrange accommodation.
The beautiful Terelj National Park is a famous tourist resort, located in the Central Province, on a plateau at an altitude of 1,600 meters, 80 kilometers east of Ulaanbaatar, and can be reached by car in about an hour from Ulaanbaatar. This park is located at the end of the Kent Mountains. It attracts many domestic and foreign tourists with its peculiar rocks, dense forests and clear rivers. Visit herders' families and ride horses in Terelji. And visit the turtle stone.
After lunch, return to Ulaanbaatar. After arriving, go to the train station to take the Trans-Siberian Railway. The Trans-Siberian Railway, with a total length of 9,288 kilometers, spans 8 time zones from Moscow to Vladivostok and is one of the longest and most spectacular railway lines in the world. The railway was built from 1891 to 1916, starting from Moscow, passing through vast pine forests, crossing the Ural Mountains, crossing the Siberian tundra, and finally reaching the Pacific Ocean.
After arriving at Sainshand, take a bus to the yurt resort to rest.
Sainshand is the capital of the Eastern Gobi Province and the driest and most windy place in Mongolia. Sainshandar is 463 kilometers from Ulaanbaatar, with a population of about 21,000, an area of 234.6 hectares, and an average sea level of 938 meters. Sainshandar means beautiful water in Mongolian, because it was originally a desert oasis city formed by beautiful water.
This morning, we will take a special car to the depths of the Gobi Desert to watch the sunrise in the desert, then visit the bell pavilion and white double Aobao of Hamulin Temple, and then go to the World Energy Center, sitting on the red volcanic stone pile to feel the energy emitted by the earth. Then we will visit 108 pagodas and Lama's caves, dinosaur fossil sites and tree fossils. You can find dinosaur fossils and dinosaur eggs here.
In the afternoon, return to Sainshandar to visit the DanzanLabuza Museum.
After dinner, go to the train station to take the overnight train back to Ulaanbaatar.
After arriving in the morning, we will arrange breakfast and take a shower at the hotel. After that, we will enjoy a half-day city tour, including the largest square in Mongolia, Sukhbaatar Square, the National History Museum, Gandan Monastery and the Bogd Khan Winter Palace. You can also watch Mongolian folk performances in the evening.
If you have time, you can also visit the Gobi Cashmere Shop and the state-owned store. Rest in the hotel after dinner.
